The UMU presents the collection of poems 'Even the Dead' by Pedro Alberto Cruz, winner of the Dionisia García award (14/10/2020)

| The event will take place at 7.30 pm in the Hemicycle of the Faculty of Letters, on the Merced Campus | The University of Murcia presents this Thursday, October 15, the book 'Even the Dead' by Pedro Alberto Cruz, winner of the XVI Dionisia García Poetry Prize, in the 2018 edition.

In this collection of poems Pedro Alberto Cruz, professor of History of the Art of the University of Murcia, addresses the issue of death.

The presentation of the book will take place at 7.30 pm in the Hemicycle of Letters, on the La Merced Campus. The award, which is called by the UMU Poetry Classroom, was awarded on April 23, 2018, coinciding with Book Day, by a jury made up of Francisco Javier Díez de Revenga Torres, emeritus professor of Spanish Literature at the University of Murcia; Eloy Sánchez Rosillo, professor of Spanish Literature-University of Murcia and poet; José María Álvarez Alonso-Hinojal, poet and translator; Aurora Luque Ortiz, poet and translator; Raquel Lanseros Sánchez, poet and translator; and Isabelle García Molina, coordinator of the Poetry Prize. The presentation of 'Even the Dead' was scheduled for last March, but the health situation forced it to be postponed.

In the coming months, it is expected that the poetry books of the winners of the last editions will also be published: 'Postcards in a biscuit drawer' by Ángel Manuel Gómez Espada and 'Poemas del desamor verdaor' by Pascual García.
