| Councilors Paqui Pérez and Mario Gómez visit the Los Rosales neighborhood to supervise the end of the urban renewal works of the neighborhood that represent an improvement in the quality of life of the 6,000 residents who live in the area | The recovery of the Los Rosales neighborhood, in El Palmar, is already a reality.

Today the people in charge of the Housing and Contracting services, Paqui Pérez, and Mario Gómez, respectively, visited the area to supervise the end of the works and check the excess of work file that will justify the subsidy file.The total number of actions undertaken within the framework of the Urban Regeneration and Renovation Area (ARRU) of the Los Rosales neighborhood has led to a transformation of its buildings, common areas, squares and pedestrian areas, through technical interventions in buildings and the urban environment and the implementation of complementary measures in the social, economic, cultural and environmental fields.Actions and investmentThe works, framed in the State Housing Plan, have been undertaken thanks to the participation of the State (31.66%), the CARM (8.22%) and the Murcia City Council (60.12%), assuming an investment total of 4,519,995 euros.Said actions have been carried out in various phases, having intervened on a total of 913 homes, in addition to the rehabilitation and adaptation of the Olivar, Cerezos, Perales, Paseo de los Cactus, Alhelíes, Limoneros, Paseo de las Acacias, Laurel squares , Acacias, Naranjos, Madroños, Moreras and Almendros, as well as deteriorated urbanization elements in several streets, increase in urban furniture, improvements in the execution of the installation of lights and adaptation of pavements, elimination of architectural barriers and improvement of accessibility to public spaces ".For the head of the Housing service, "the comprehensive rehabilitation of Los Rosales is the best of the news, since it represents a significant improvement in the quality of life of the 6,000 residents who live in the neighborhood, who in addition to their homes, have seen improved common areas, squares and pedestrian areas of the neighborhood ".For his part, the Councilor for Development and head of the municipal contracting service has also shown his satisfaction at the completion of some much-needed actions, in one of the most degraded neighborhoods in the municipality of Murcia.In addition, he stressed that from "the Department of Development will continue to cover all housing rehabilitation projects and public spaces for social insertion and collaboration, as well as the construction and acquisition of public housing.
