The PSOE demands the same access and security guarantees in all the cemeteries of the municipality on the occasion of "Todos los Santos" (07/10/2020)

Councilor Esther Nevado affirms that, "with less than a month to go, the government team must already have a definitive plan and not improvise, as is their custom, because access continues to be within their competence and the safety of the residents of Murcia too " Faced with the imminent feast of "All Saints" and given that measures are already being announced to control the influx and guarantee the safety of the Nuestro Padre Jesús cemetery, the Municipal Socialist Group wonders what will happen to the rest of the cemeteries scattered around the entire municipality in different districts. "We understand that security is safeguarded in the municipal, in which a large crowd of people also gather, but there are many others who, although not owned by the City Council, also require an influx control on those dates, because the deceased they are neither public nor private and the residents of the municipality all have the same right to visit their loved ones wherever they are in safety conditions, "explains councilor Esther Nevado. In this regard, it demands that it be informed through announcements about the opening hours of each and every one of the cemeteries in the municipality with the measures to take into account.

"The safety of the neighbors must be the same, but they must also have all the information to organize themselves because only in this way will what is intended be achieved and that is that the visits are staggered to avoid crowds. For this reason, "we would like to know if the City Council that has thought about private security for the Our Father Jesus cemetery, because the scarce staff of the Local Police does not provide access control, also has the rest of the neighbors in mind, they have their loved ones buried in other cemeteries scattered around districts " He also points out that "today a campaign has been launched to promote the purchase of cut flowers, but if people are not sure that all the cemeteries will be open, how are they going to buy it?" and, she adds that mobility and the guarantee of access and capacity are municipal responsibility. Finally, Nevado points out that "with less than a month to go to 'All Saints' it is necessary for the government team to have a definitive plan and not improvise, as is their custom, a plan that includes all cemeteries, because access continues to be within its competence and the safety of the residents of Murcia as well ".
