The Young Soloists Cycle starts this Friday and has as its common thread the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth (07/10/2020)

| José Ballesta: "More than 23 interpreters will participate in this cycle, which has become a platform for emerging musical talent and an important pool of professional musicians "| The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, accompanied by the Councilor for Culture and Recovery of Heritage, Jesús Pacheco, presented this morning in the Sala Caballerizas –next to the Hydraulic Museum of Los Molinos del Río– the XIII Young Soloists Cycle, which takes place from on October 9 to November 14 in Murcia and five districts.

Specifically, it starts this Friday at the Auditorium of Guadalupe, with a concert of cello and piano."More than 23 interpreters will participate in this cycle, which has become a platform for emerging musical talent and an important pool of professional musicians, with concerts of different registers, in which more than 23 young interpreters will participate", highlighted José Ballesta, who added that "La Alberca, Algezares, Beniaján, Cabezo de Torres and Guadalupe will be the stages of the concerts, which mostly include works by Beethoven, in homage to the 250th anniversary of his birth."It is an initiative that has been organized since 2008, with the aim of supporting the musical talent of young people from Murcia.

Specifically, it will be the musicians Miguel Baró Tomé –violoncello– and Begoña Tomé Fernández –piano– who will start the cycle this Friday, at 8 pm, in Guadalupe.La Alberca, Algezares, Beniaján, Cabezo de Torres and GuadalupeSpecifically, between October 9 and November 14, there will be nine scheduled concerts in the five Municipal Auditoriums –La Alberca, Algezares, Beniaján, Cabezo de Torres and Guadalupe–.

In addition, in order to extend the cycle to other cultural spaces in the city of Murcia, the renovated Sala Caballerizas in the Molinos del Río space will also host concerts.The cellists Miguel Baró Tomé and Miguel Torres Vicente, the euphonium Miguel Victorio Molina, the oboist María Dolores Martínez García, the pianist Alejandro Rubio Pelayo and the pianist Paula Linde Guerrero, or the viola, harpsichord and piano trio composed by Luis Manuel Vicente Beltrán , Marina López Manzanera and José vicente Riquelme Ros are just some of the more than 23 interpreters who will participate.Classical and contemporary composersAll of them will perform works of great relevance to their instrument and will offer original and highly measured concert programs by classical composers such as Bach, Beethoven, Schumann, Brahms, Liszt, Debussy, Ravel, Falla, Saint-Saëns, and contemporaries.In this context, the concert for euphonium and piano that Miguel Victorio Molina and Carlos Vivancos Martínez will offer at the Beniaján Auditorium, on October 10, at 8:00 p.m., is made up of works by authors born between 1947 and 1988 ( less known to the general public), such as Philip Wilby, Thomas Doss or Gilles Rocha, among others.The public will also be able to enjoy the artistic project 'Djembefó', in which a group of six musicians will show the possibilities of integrating the musical tradition with new artistic possibilities; event that will take place on October 11, at 12 noon, in the Auditorium of Guadalupe.250th anniversary of the birth of BeethovenThis edition will also highlight one of the most important musical events: the 250th anniversary of the birth of Beethoven; This is why most of the programs in the cycle include works by the genius, born in the German city of Bonn.The entrance to the concerts, with limited capacity, will be free with invitation, which can be withdrawn at the box office of each of the spaces where the performance will take place, starting at 6:30 p.m.
