Urban Development is committed to the circular economy taking advantage of the pruning of more than 20,000 mulberry trees (07/10/2020)

| The remains of branches are shredded to be reused in the parks and gardens of the municipality, creating a sustainable green cycle | The Department of Modernization of the Administration and Urban Development directed by José Guillén is carrying out the pruning of more than 20,000 mulberry trees located throughout the municipality.For these works there are 6 teams that arrive in an efficient and coordinated way to all areas.

They will be carrying out these tasks until the beginning of December."The objective of this pruning is, in addition to revitalizing the tree and helping it in its development, guaranteeing the safety of citizens and making these specimens so characteristic of our city look in perfect condition and provide shade in the gardens and green areas of the municipality , places where neighbors can rest, meet, disconnect and enjoy our surroundings "has highlighted José Guillén.The first of the actions to be carried out is the plywood alignment of specimens on walks, after which training and maintenance pruning will be carried out on the remaining specimens located inside the different parks of the municipality.This task is necessary to avoid the fall of fruits as well as to reduce the fall of leaves in autumn that cause discomfort to pedestrians.To carry out the work, all mandatory safety measures are complied with, including harnesses, helmets and various elements set forth in current regulations.

The marking of the areas where work is being carried out is also carried out to avoid any problems.

 Green cycleThe remains of branches are shredded to be reused as compost in the parks and gardens of the municipality, betting on a sustainable green cycle.The Department of Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration works to take care of the environment, improve the air we breathe and ensure that all green areas are in perfect condition, taking advantage of all resources, saving costs and contributing to the improvement of our planet.
