62% of the activities of the Networks program will be held outdoors due to the pandemic (06/10/2020)

| About 600 young people will be able to participate in the fifty activities that make up the program | Young people will be able to enjoy an extensive program of activities from the Redes program for the weekends of the last quarter of the year.The Councilor for Sustainable Mobility and Youth, Rebeca Pérez, explained that "we have adapted the Network programming to this time by increasing outdoor activities in order to guarantee the safety of our young people and reducing the maximum number of participants per activity.

In this way we want to offer them a healthy alternative now that nightlife has been modified by the pandemic.

"In total, the Youth Service of the Murcia City Council through Networks for Free Time offers about 600 places, prioritizing adventure activities and those that can be carried out outdoors.Of the 50 scheduled activities, 62% will take place in open environments, with a total of 31 outdoor activities.

This percentage is significantly higher than the previous quarterly programming, where 51 activities were carried out, of which 14 were outdoors, with a percentage of 27%. The maximum participants per activity will be 15 for hiking and cultural routes, 10 for adventure activities and 9 for workshops and training activities. According to the demand, two shifts for nature and adventure activities will be studied.The program will run for 11 weekends, beginning on October 9 and ending on December 20.All activities will be developed according to the socio-sanitary measures in force at the time of the activity (social distancing, mandatory mask and use of hydroalcoholic gel) in addition to the reduction of groups between 6 and 15 maximum participants, depending on whether it is in space indoors or outdoors.Among the programmed activities, different gymkhanas stand out, such as the night photography in the mountains, the one that will take place on the river 'Scape Street' and the one whose theme is the Rey Paparajote card game of Murcian origin, where La Resistencia, a group of brave Heroes will defend the Region of Murcia from the evil King Paparajote and the future dangers that may threaten our lands.Within the outdoor and adventure activities there will be seven hiking routes, among which the 'Lost Paths of the Watchmaker' and 'The Walls of King Kong' routes, ravines descents such as Los Lages and the of initiation to climbing on the Las Canteras walls, all these activities will take place inside the Regional Park of El Valle-Carrascoy,The programmed cultural-themed activities are Archaeological Route.

to 7:30 p.m.Strict security measuresTo guarantee the safety of the participants, different measures have been established:- You will not be able to participate in the activity if you have had any of the symptoms 14 days before the activity or other health indications, or if you live with a possible suspected case. - The reception for the start of the activity will be held in an open place where there will be a discussion on the new security and communication protocol that includes COVID-19 procedures.- Physical distance will be maintained at all times preferably between 2 and 3 meters.- Before proceeding with the activity, the hands will be washed with hydro-alcohol gel or similar, and the exchange of material is prohibited.- Each participant must come provided with their personal PPE (a mask, hydro-alcoholic gel and a bag to store them)- It is not allowed to share food or drink- The activities are taught by certified monitors with training in anti-COVID-19 measures
