15 new Murcian establishments and services successfully overcome good practices against COVID-19 (06/10/2020)

| Currently, 54% of SICTED companies in the municipality have achieved this distinction, which places Murcia in the fifth national position in regarding establishments and services that have already obtained this extraordinary distinction | A total of 15 SICTED establishments in Murcia have been distinguished by the Secretary of State for Tourism with the extraordinary safety mark at destination, having successfully passed the implementation of good practices against COVID-19 in the tourism sector.

Added to the 34 that have already passed the evaluation, it represents 54% of the destination companies.In this way, the municipality of Murcia ranks fifth among national destinations in number of SICTED companies and services that have obtained this distinction, after passing the external evaluation that guarantees strict compliance with a series of service and cleaning specifications.

and disinfection, maintenance and risk management.The main objective pursued by the Secretary of State for Tourism with this initiative is to generate confidence and security both in residents and in national and international visitors who visit Murcia.The 15 new distinguished establishments and services are the following: the Andalusian Parliament - Plaza de las Flores, Andalusian Parliament - Albudeiteros, Cafés Salzillo- San Cristóbal, Cafés Salzillo-Thader, the tour guides Acceso Congresos, Enrique Mena García and Purificación Pelegrín Giménez; the Catalonia Conde de Floridablanca hotel; the Fauna Recovery Center 'El Valle' and the Molinos del Río Hydraulic Museum, the Professional Congress Organizer Acceso Congresos and the restaurants El Palco of the Andalusian Parliament and the taxi drivers Serafín Baeza Cabrera, Rafael Ruiz Montiel and Alejandro García Olivares."To regain the confidence of visitors, it is essential that all links in the value chain of the tourism sector incorporate these hygienic-sanitary measures and focus their efforts on making Murcia a safe tourist destination", highlighted the mayor of Employment, Economic Promotion and Tourism, Pedro García Rex.In this sense, the head of the Department has thanked the degree of commitment to the quality and safety of the destination of the companies and services that have already been evaluated and those that will soon do so; and he recalled that "by obtaining this distinctive we are generating trust in customers and supporting the tourism sector in a situation as complicated as the one we are experiencing".
