Complaints for not wearing masks now exceed 10,000 (02/10/2020)

| The Local Police have also sanctioned 260 locals | The Murcia Local Police has filed from last July 18 to Thursday a total of 10,701 complaints for not using or using the mask incorrectly, in compliance with the guidelines set by the decree that includes the measures to be followed to avoid the contagion of Covid-19.In the same way, the agents have sanctioned 260 premises, of which 93 have been for not having suspended the activity of leisure premises, 49 for repeated non-compliance with the instructions received from the agents for the closure of the premises, 20 for shared use of hookahs; 17 for exceeding closing hours and 11 for allowing bar consumption.He has also been sanctioned for not keeping distance between the tables (7); because the waiter did not wear a mask (6), because of excess capacity (4), because it allowed access to customers without a mask (3), because he did not suspend brothel activity (3), because it served for direct consumption through the window to the street (3), for exceeding the number of customers at the same table by more than six (3), for not taking measures to avoid crowds at the bar (2), for exceeding the number of tables allowed (2 ), for hindering police work (2), for making use of the dance floor (1), for exceeding 75% of the maximum capacity on the terrace (1), for having bottles of oil and salt shakers for common use on the tables (1) and for breaching the obligation to inform customers of the mandatory use of masks (1).In this period, 459 people have also been sanctioned for exceeding the number of people per group, 112 for smoking without maintaining a safe distance and 171 for excessive occupation in vehicles.Financial fines of between 100 and 3,000 eurosThe decree that establishes the sanctioning regime for not using the masks includes financial fines of between 100 and 3,000 euros for offenders.

Not wearing the masks is classified as a minor offense.The use of the mask is established as mandatory for people six years of age and older.

Its use is mandatory, in any case, on public roads, in open air spaces and in any closed space for public use or that is open to the public.

The mask should cover the mouth and nose, covering from the chin to the nasal septum, so that the nostrils are not exposed.To make proper use of masks, the authorities recommend washing your hands before putting them on, not touching them while wearing them, not reusing them unless expressly authorized to do so, discarding them when they are wet, and removing the mask from the back.
