The XXVIII Business Projects Contest will distribute 80,000 euros among the best business ideas (02/10/2020)

The Governing Board has given its approval to the bases of the XXVIII Business Projects Contest called by the Department of Employment, Economic Promotion and Tourism in a competitive competition regime.

The objective is to help Murcian entrepreneurs in the search for opportunities and business ideas that favor the creation of companies and stimulate local economic activity and employment.People with habitual residence in the municipality and legal persons (small and medium-sized companies) whose registered and fiscal address of the business project is Murcia may participate in this contest.The participation of projects by non-resident persons or entities, or domiciled outside the municipality, is also allowed as long as the project is being developed in the municipality of Murcia, and must be duly accredited.The start date of business projects may not be earlier than January 1, 2018.

Any type of sector or economic activity is admitted, whose legal personality is that of a company.

On the contrary, projects presented by associations, foundations or any associative model will not be admitted, and projects already awarded in previous editions of competitions called by the Murcian town hall will also be excluded.Submission of applicationsApplications for participation in the Contest will be submitted to the Murcia City Council's electronic office by means of an instance attaching, among other documents, a descriptive report of the business project that includes the description of the activity to be carried out, the necessary investment in detail and the pace of execution of the same, the planned financing, cost analysis and billing estimate within the first semester, the initial jobs and medium-term growth expectations, organization chart for the distribution of responsibilities and a video with a maximum duration of 60 seconds company presentation.After its approval at the Governing Board, the submission period begins with the publication of the call in the BORM and on the website of the Center for Municipal Initiatives CIM-M /, and will end on November 14.The Murcia City Council, through the Center for Municipal Initiatives, will inform, advise and guide all those interested in participating in this call.SelectionThe selection of the initiatives will be carried out, initially, through a preliminary study of the projects presented to select the finalists; and subsequent assessment, during which the jury will take into consideration the technical, commercial, economic and financial viability, the degree of innovation and the originality of the products or services offered, the impact on the environment and the stimulating effect on the local economic activity and its social value.Prizes: 80,000 eurosThe total amount of the prizes is 80,000 euros distributed in the following prizes:First Prize: up to a maximum of 25,000 euros and their participation in the Business Mentoring Program that AJE Región de Murcia will develop during 2021.Second Prize: up to a maximum of 15,000 euros and their participation in the Business Mentoring Program that AJE Región de Murcia will develop during 2021.Third Prize: up to a maximum of 10,000 euros and their participation in the Business Mentoring Program that AJE Región de Murcia will develop during 2021.Special Awards:"Cultural and Creative Companies", up to a maximum of € 10,000 and their participation in the Business Mentoring Program that AJE Región de Murcia will develop during 2021.
