Podemos asks the parties that govern in the Glorieta to stop their fights and get to work (29/09/2020)

| The purple formation demands the Popular Party and Citizens to be responsible "for the good of all Murcians" | According to the spokesman of the municipal group, Ginés Ruiz Maciá, "both groups have been threatening for months to break the pact, creating great uncertainty in the municipality." For this reason, the councilors of Podemos in the Murcia City Council ask the parties that make up the local government "to get to work to improve the municipality, pay the dining room scholarships and pending social aid and stop power struggles and that they are causing serious damage to the residents of Murcia "."While PP and CS fight, families are still waiting for the dining scholarships of recent months, those who have the worst still do not receive Covid aid, public transport is getting worse, the air continues to lose quality ...".

For the spokesperson for Podemos in the Murcia City Council, Ginés Ruiz Maciá, José Ballesta and Mario Gómez are cast in their positions "and they only think of winning a power struggle in which they have indirectly involved all Murcians and Murcian ".

For Podemos, this coalition has two paths, "either definitively break or stop thinking about their partisan interests, get to work and think about the good of the inhabitants of the municipality and the people who are having the worst time with this social and health crisis ".The delay of almost three months in the payment of the dining room scholarships, the absence of conciliation policies in the municipality, the non-payment of Covid19 aid and the long waiting lists to be attended by social services are issues that this City Council has stopped addressing side.

For this reason, Ruiz Maciá has demanded "responsibility and good sense" from the two formations because, he has assured "we cannot spend three more years like this." The purple formation considers that it is "inadmissible that two parties that govern together have created this toxic climate that endangers projects as important as, for example, budgets, so necessary to alleviate the social suffering that this pandemic is generating.

"For the councilors of Podemos,"Popular Party and Citizens are only showing that Murcians are not interested, that they only want to be able and manage the municipality at will, but neither think about the common good nor are they capable of leading together a project that improves the lives of their neighbors and neighbors of Murcia and that it attends to the most vulnerable ".We can demand that both formations determine their position, decide if they want to continue governing together and "if not, definitely break up and stop starring in scandals and public fights that are exposing the Murcia City Council."
