In addition, for this garden to continue to be considered one of the most important in the city of this type, there will be a plantation of date palms and Canary Islands, which will complete the existing ones, as well as the replanting of meadows.This project is 30.82% co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) within the framework of the Operational Program for Sustainable Growth 2014-2020, within the DUSI Murcia IT Strategy: Innovation + Tradition.The La Paz neighborhood has opened a renovated 375 m2 pergola and an urban school garden on Río Mundo streetIn addition to improving the lighting, the municipal initiative ADN Urbano La Paz has included other actions aimed at improving the neighborhood's public spaces proposed by the residents themselves and promoting participation and coexistence.The creation of a new playground and a path in his garden, as well as the renovation of the street pavement are some of the actions undertaken.Through this project, the City Council has improved the functionality and aesthetics of Río Mundo Street, since the pavement of the street has been renewed - eliminating irregularities and creating a uniform space -; A new linear parterre has been fitted out under the orange trees, and has led to the creation of an urban school garden of almost 70 square meters, which can be used by the students of the Nuestra Señora de La Paz school.The works have also included the creation of a bush mural with the word 'Peace' in the existing garden in this environment, as well as a new path that crosses it, and the installation of new urban furniture.In addition, different painting works have been carried out, such as those carried out on the shaded surface of the pergola with drawings, as an urban tattoo.Among the actions undertaken, the new lighting that has been enabled on the perimeter of the pergola and the creation of a new pedestrian crossing that facilitates access from the playground, along the Avenida de La Fama, also stands out.Likewise, the City Council has enabled a new circuit for children's games, which has hopscotch, a set of jumping logs, a painted jumping path, painted kite and a trampoline, among other elements.Through the ADN La Paz project, the City Council has identified two lines of work that define the identity of the La Paz neighborhood: cinema and futsal.

Taking both concepts into account, the City Council is working on integrating them - a small football court has been set up under the pergola, and two of the benches that were in disuse have been replaced by goals and protection fences.In addition, paint work has been carried out in the parking area, which simulates an indoor soccer field.
