The PSOE denounces that there is a large extension of the municipality's territory without cleaning or with a very diminished service (17/09/2020)

| Councilor Enrique Lorca asks the responsible councilor to “get off the electric skateboard, or better, to use it to go around the whole municipality and point out all the existing cleaning deficiencies ”| In addition, it will demand from the Plenary the recovery and reinforcement of the disinfection against the coronavirus, which was launched in March and was later abandoned, in order to limit the spread of the virus at times of high incidenceThe Municipal Socialist Group warns that in the last ten years the territory of the municipality has expanded with new residential areas that house thousands of families but do not have sufficient cleaning service.

In fact, what the City Council, from the Department of Sustainable Mobility, responsible for Road Cleaning, has done in recent years has been to “patch, so that it has tried to extend the service from one area to another and in the end what has achieved is that neither of the two is in optimal conditions ", explains the Socialist councilor, Enrique Lorca. In addition, remember that in March, the City Council launched a special cleaning and disinfection device in all the districts and neighborhoods of the municipality to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

“It was sold from the Consistory that this cleaning would cover all public spaces, but that it would intensify in those places with the greatest influx of people.

However, this service was abandoned, therefore, we are going to demand the Plenary to recover and reinforce the disinfection against Covid in order to limit the spread of the virus at times of high incidence ".In relation to the areas that are not served, he points out that "this method of dressing one saint undressing another cannot be prolonged much longer." In fact, as an example, he cites the Montevida urbanization, where the service provided by Cespa has not been expanded.

What is being done is to reduce the cleaning of the nearby towns, El Palmar and La Alberca, to share the service with this urbanization.

Therefore, "there are streets in these two districts that are increasingly dirty, as the same neighbors denounce us," he says.“This example is one among many others; something similar happens in Ronda Sur, where the cleaning service that was planned years ago was for a new neighborhood in which a thousand people lived, but now we have a population that has multiplied by six ”, says Lorca, who points to other areas that have expanded such as the avenues of Juan de Borbón or Juan Carlos I or also the north of Cabezo de Torres.Likewise, the councilor says he does not understand how, even the concession company itself, Cespa, asked the Department for information on the areas to expand the service and is still waiting for a response.

"Moreover, in 2010, the year in which the terms of the contract were approved, the company itself detected areas that were not included and that today, when there have been subsequent expansions, are still not considered".“Therefore, no one should be surprised that taking a walk to the neighborhoods farthest from the center we find streets that a sweeper has not passed for a week.

The same or worse happens in districts, "says the mayor, who believes that the responsible councilor" should get off the electric skateboard, or better, use it to go around the entire municipality and point out all the existing cleaning deficiencies in order to carry out a good planning of the cleaning service to reach the last corner of the municipality ”.Lorca declares that “far from the results of surveys paid to measure, the reality is that the municipality is generally dirty and one of the main complaints of the neighbors with whom we speak, especially districts, is the lack of cleanliness, even there are streets that do not appear in the routines and it is only when residents complain that they are cleaned ”.
