Reinventing oneself through design from the Artillery Barracks (17/09/2020)

Valcárcel, and the president of the Spanish Network of Design Associations (READ), Teresa Jular, this morning inaugurated the National Design Meeting, '8ENAD', which this year takes place under the motto 'Design before eating'."The Artillery Barracks, one of the reference spaces for artistic production, since hundreds of activities, workshops and conferences have been held in its pavilions since its opening, hosts this national meeting, promoting creativity and culture from the neighborhood del Carmen ”, highlighted José Ballesta.Specifically, the National Design Meeting takes place in two days –today and tomorrow–, in Pavilion 2 of the Artillery Barracks, with activities in the morning and afternoon, where an ephemeral set has been set up.

The event has been organized by the Association of Design Professionals and Advertising Communication in the Region (DIP) and the Spanish Network of Design Associations (READ).High creativity linked to gastronomySpecifically, the event started this morning, with the following screenings and presentations:-'Behind.

An audiovisual projection directed by Jorge Martínez, which shows the interior of six spaces of Spanish haute cuisine.-High Creativity.

Hours from 9:45 to 11 hours.

Six heads of creativity participate who work alongside as many great Spanish chefs, cooks who, in addition to prescribers, are great businessmen, entrepreneurs capable of launching new product lines and are linked to research and training centers for new generations of entrepreneurs and businesswomen. The six creatives will present, first-hand, the processes behind haute cuisine and how, through innovation, they are conceiving solutions for the present moment.

They are:- Juan Francisco Valiente (Quique Dacosta Restaurant, in Denia.

Three Michelin stars).- David Chamorro (Aponiente Restaurant, in Puerto de Santa María.

Three Michelin stars)- Ramón Perisé (Mugaritz Restaurant, in Guipuzkoa.

Two Michelin stars)- Héloïse Vilaseca (Celler de Can Roca Restaurant, in Gerona.

Three Michelin stars)- Adrián Costa (La Cabaña Buenavista Restaurant, in Murcia.

Two Michelin stars)- Oriol Castro, who in 2003 was already working under the shadow of Ferran Adrià and who, during the last years of elBulli, led, together with Albert Adriá, elBullitaller and today defends, together with Eduard Xatruch and Mateu Casaña, the restaurant Enjoy, in Barcelona.It will be a debate coordinated and moderated by the Cartagena creative Jorge Martínez and one of the most important active publicists in the country, Toni Segarra.Likewise, throughout the morning the following debates will take place:-We are what we eat.

Hours: 11: 45-12: 30 hours.-Design the recovery.

Hours: 12: 30-13: 15 hours.-Closing the circle.

Hours: 13: 15-14 hours.The activities, which are broadcast in streaming, will continue in the afternoon.
