Local Police officers and Civil Protection volunteers will control that the measures established by the health authorities and the contingency plans of the educational centers are complied with and will regulate the traffic at the entrances and exitsThe Department of Citizen Security and Economic Management, has planned a security and surveillance device on the occasion of the start tomorrow Monday of the school year that will be developed jointly by Local Police and Civil Protection.In this way, the agents and volunteers will control that at the entrances and exits to the educational centers, the measures established by the health authorities to contain coronavirus infections are met.In addition, and in collaboration with the management staff of the centers, the proper functioning of the contingency plans of these educational facilities will be controlled.Likewise, the Local Police will carry out other tasks such as the regulation of traffic in the vicinity of schools to speed up the circulation of vehicles, thus avoiding retentions.The agents will also control that the vehicles respect the pedestrian crossings near the educational centers.Councilor Eduardo Martínez-Oliva explained that "with this special device we seek to guarantee the smooth running of the return to activity of the educational centers of the municipality while strictly complying with current regulations to prevent the spread of COVID -19 ".
