The International Literature Week ´ExLibris´ starts on September 21 with more than 80 free cultural events (11/09/2020)

| The program, which this year celebrates its third edition and includes numerous online events, includes recitals, musical cycles, exhibitions, cinema, book presentations, colloquia and workshops, among others | The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, together with the Minister of Education and Culture, Esperanza Moreno, the president of the Mediterranean Foundation, Luis Boyer, the director of ExLibris, Victorio Melgarejo, and the vice-rector for Quality, Culture and Communication, Francisco Javier Martínez, presented this morning the programming of the III International Week of Letters 'ExLibris', which includes more than 80 free cultural events, combining letters, music, cinema and art for seven days, with recitals, exhibitions, screenings , book presentations, colloquia and workshops, among others.“Murcia will become the capital of letters from September 21 to 27, with the III edition of the International Week of Letters ExLibris, a benchmark in the publishing and cultural scene in Spain that stands out for the quality of all the acts that encompasses ”, highlighted José Ballesta during the presentation, held at the San Juan de Dios Monumental Complex.Face-to-face and online activities with more than 250 participantsThe activities, all of them related to literature, will be developed under all the measures established by the health protocol, and will have more than 250 participants.The program includes online and face-to-face events, aimed at children, youth and adults.

To access the online workshops, ExLibris will publish the room with a password for free access on its social networks.Special tribute to the centenary of the birth of Miguel DelibesAmong the activities, the celebration of a colloquium and two exhibitions in tribute to the centenary of the birth of Miguel Delibes stands out, which will take place on Monday, September 21 in the Murcia Classroom of the Mediterranean Foundation.

In the colloquium, which will address his life and work, the daughter of the writer and president of the Delibes Foundation, Elisa Delibes de Castro, and the managing director of the Delibes Foundation, Fernando Zamácola, will participate.The colloquium will be completed with two exhibitions in La Glorieta: 'The drawings of the road' and 'Five hours with Mario'.

Another of the tributes that will be carried out during the International Week of Letters 'Exllibris' will focus on the figure of the Murcian novelist Miguel Espinosa, on Thursday, September 24.To attend both face-to-face activities it will be necessary to reserve tickets, through the foundation's website, or at the box office.
