The action took place when a person who was walking with his dog in a place near Cuevas del Norte, a municipality in Murcia, located two devices, apparently explosive or incendiary. Through the Torreagüera Civil Guard Post, the GEDEX-NRBQ (Specialist Group in Deactivation of Explosive Devices and Nuclear, Radiological, Biological and Chemical Defense) was alerted. GEDEX specialists went to the site of the discovery and verified that it was a mortar grenade and an aviation projectile, the kind used in the Spanish Civil War. The artifacts were in a good state of conservation and, due to the danger involved in handling them during a transfer, they were neutralized in a nearby area, with the proper security measures. Security advice Faced with the discovery of any object that, due to its appearance, may be suspected of being an explosive, incendiary or pyrotechnic device, the Civil Guard recommends: Do not touch or move it. Avoid overconfidence, given the appearance of the found material (rusty, rusty, etc.). Immediately call the Civil Guard emergency number 062. If possible, stay in the vicinity of the place until the arrival of the Security Forces and Bodies.
