Moors and Christians present their history in the La Glorieta Exhibition Hall (07/09/2020)

in the Exhibition Hall of The Glorieta.The Federation of Moors and Christians associations and the City Council have organized this exhibition in order to commemorate and give visibility to this festival, in this week in which they would have held their program of events.Pacheco has indicated that "Murcians can now directly know the history and details of this important tradition that from 1983 until now has been the protagonist of the Murcia Fair".Until next September 14, it will be possible to see, with reduced capacity and with the corresponding security measures, all the representative posters of this festival from its beginning in 1983 to the current one of this year 2020, a work signed by the artist Ana María Camacho.In addition, you can see some of the most representative costumes that parade or have paraded in the great moments of the party in previous years and a selection of utensils and accessories that are part of the parade.Also included are photographs of the different acts of handing over the keys of the City as well as the embassy of the Murcia foundation, the image of the Virgen de la Arrixaca, in addition to all the banners and banners of both the federation and the different cabins and mesnadas.Visiting hours are from 11 a.m.

to 2 p.m.

and from 6 p.m.

to 9 p.m.

and the exhibition will remain open until September 14.In addition to this exhibition during the week, other activities will be carried out such as the broadcasting of the main events of Moros y Cristianos through social networks of the federation and the City Council: On Monday 7 the proclamation of 2019 will be remembered; On Tuesday 8th, the representatives of the Cábilas and Mesnadas will talk about what it means to be a flag bearer; on Friday the 11th there will be a colloquium to learn about the festivities from the beginning; on Sunday 13 the best moments of the Embassy of 'The foundation of Mursiya' will be remembered and on Monday 14 of the Embassy of 'Delivery of keys'In addition, two contests have been organized through the federation's social networks: on the one hand, 'Your festive corner' in which participants will be able to send photos and videos of their home festive camp and win tickets to Terra Natura; and, on the other, a festive drawing contest for the little ones with prizes from El Corte Inglés gift cards.
