| The World University Rankings 2020 especially highlights the internationalization capacity of the Catholic University of Murcia | UCAM has entered the ranking of the best universities in the world for the first time.
It is the World University Rankings, prepared by The Times Higher of Education, in its 2020 edition, published today Tuesday.
This ranking has selected 1,527 universities from 92 countries, making it the largest and most diverse in the world.
The report analyzes 13 indicators, which measure the performance of each institution in teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international perspective. This good result of UCAM is endorsed especially by the internationalization section; The Catholic University has 10% of its students from 97 countries on five continents, which makes it a multicultural and wealth-generating hub.
Among the undergraduate, postgraduate, own degrees, international headquarters and collaborating entities, there are more than 4,600 international students who were trained last year at the Catholic University of Murcia. Likewise, it is one of the universities in Spain that has a greater educational offer in English and the one that imparts the most degrees in the Region of Murcia in this language.
In terms of degrees, this course incorporates Psychology, at its Murcia Campus, and Dentistry also at Cartagena.
The institution had previously been offering Business Administration and Management, Physical Activity and Sports Sciences and Dentistry in English in Murcia, as well as ten postgraduate degrees.
In this sense it also highlights that in the field of research UCAM develops European projects with 37 countries. Endorsed by other prestigious rankings The aforementioned ranking places UCAM in 37th place in the Spanish university system, which includes 83 public and private universities.
Likewise, there are several international rankings that place the Católica de Murcia as a leading university worldwide.
The latest report from the Knowledge and Development Foundation (CYD) highlights its educational offer of degrees and master's degrees in English, being an academic center of great interest for students from different autonomous communities and from other countries. For its part 'The Europe Teaching Rankings 2019', positioned UCAM as the tenth university in Europe in teaching quality, which is the result of its teaching methodology, based on personalized teaching and small groups.
A consequence of this are, for example, the excellent results of its Medicine students at the MIR, with more than 97% of passed, or those obtained by the students of the Master's Degree in Access to the Legal Profession, with 98% of passed in the official examination for the exercise of the profession. Bimodal model to guarantee teaching UCAM has programmed a bimodal teaching model for this next academic year that guarantees the training of all its students with the highest quality in any of the scenarios that may arise due to the health crisis.
This system includes the 'online', face-to-face and blended modalities, for which it adapts the most advanced physical and virtual resources.
In this way, it guarantees compliance with current security measures and the development of teaching planning.
Presence will prevail, while it has installed cameras in all classrooms so that students who cannot attend can follow the classes live by 'streaming', being also recorded for those who are affected by the time difference and cannot follow the classes synchronously.
