The City Council prepares all the entrances to Murcia, coinciding with Operation Return (31/08/2020)

The Department of Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration, through Parks and Gardens, improves and repairs one of the busiest roads in the Region of Murcia, the A-30 as it passes through the capital.

In one year, more than 47 million cars travel on this highway, either on medium or long-distance routesThe Department of Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration, led by José Guillén, through the Parks and Gardens Service, is preparing the sections of the highway, from the A-30 and Ronda Oeste, as well as the entrance and exit accesses to the city of Murcia, coinciding with Operation Return.In this way, one of the busiest roads in the Region of Murcia is improved and conditioned.Specifically, these are the eight main nodes, such as the entrance and exit of the Ranero, Ronda Norte, Ronda Sur, as well as access to the Espinardo Campus.Regarding the actions, the more than 450 palm trees located in the 10,000 m2 of this section are being prepared, through which an average of 130,000 vehicles circulate per day, which represents more than 47 million per year."With these actions we improve our municipality, beautify its access areas and improve the security of all the thousands of Murcians who pass through these roads every day.

This action is carried out during this time, since these are months in which the traffic for the return operation at these accesses and they must be in perfect condition ", José Guillén highlighted.In the municipality of Murcia there are more than 15,000 palm trees, among them there are more than 450 copies attached to the Demarcation of Roads, and which are treated by the Department of Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration, which is carrying out these actions under the existing agreements between both administrations, since 2016.The palm trees are, for the most part, large, reaching between 15 and 20 meters in height, for which many human and material resources are being used, such as fifteen palm trees, an octopus truck as well as a lifting basket.These actions are complemented by periodic tasks that will begin this month in the middle of the tram at night, without the daily service provided to Murcia being interrupted at any time.
