The plan for the elimination of weeds and herbicide treatment is being developed this week in more than thirty districts and districts (30/08/2020)

The Department of Sustainable Mobility and Youth, led by Rebeca Pérez, carries out this operation during the month of August to prevent the growth of weeds and fruits on public roads.Specifically, this week it will be performed in: Monteagudo, Casillas, Corvera, Carrascoy La Murta, Alquerías, Era Alta, El Carmen, Puente Bacinos, Zarandona El Infante, La Albatalía, La Arboleja, Baños y Mendigo, Los Martínez, Cañada de San Pedro, Algezares, San Basilio, Churra, Cabezo de Torres, El Palmar, Gea y Truyols, Los Garres, Santa María de Gracia, Barqueros, Cañada Hermosa, La Alberca, Avileses, San José de la Vega, Vistalegre, Casillas and El Infante .Councilor Rebeca Pérez highlights that "to the ordinary cleaning work we add this operation in summer in order to improve the service in each of the corners of our municipality, as well as the quality of life of our citizens."Likewise, to carry out these tasks, four hydro-cleaning vehicles are used, 600 and 200-liter low-pressure equipment, with fumigation equipment, 16-liter backpacks for detailed work, four tanks and a sidewalk scrubbing machine.The special summer plan includes removing weeds so that wild vegetation does not overrun urban areas and prevents the pavement from lifting.

In this way, mechanical clearing works are coordinated with the application of legally authorized phytosanitary products, being necessary to indicate the treated areas for safety reasons.Intensive cleaning is added to these tasks in areas where there is dirt from trees, such as mulberry, robinias, jacarandas and tipuanas.Information to the citizenThe City Council, through the murciaciudadsostenible website and the social networks attached to this page, informs about the place where these actions will take place.
