Rebeca Pérez: "The PSOE discriminates against the municipalities with aid for transport that is absolutely insufficient" (26/08/2020)

| The Councilor for Sustainable Mobility has recalled that "the Government of Pedro Sánchez promised a line of funds of 5,000 million to mitigate the losses in the sector and it will not cover even a tenth part "| The mayor of the PP has detailed that "we are preparing an ambitious Mobility Plan that will connect the districts with each other and these territories with the universities and hospitals of reference of the municipality" The Councilor for Sustainable Mobility and Youth, Rebeca Pérez, has criticized that "the PSOE discriminates against municipalities with aid for transport that is absolutely insufficient and ridiculous." In this regard, he recalled that "the Government of Pedro Sánchez promised, in different meetings held with the mayors of the cities with the most population, a line of funds of 5,000 million to alleviate the losses in the sector and in the end their contributions will not go to cover not even a tenth part.

" Rebeca Pérez has denounced that "the money from the central government will not even serve us to liquidate what we have to compensate the concessionary companies so that they continue to provide the service despite the decrease in the number of travelers experienced as a result of the crisis of the coronavirus ". The mayor of the PP has regretted that "once again the strategy of the PSOE and Mr.

Larrosa is to try to confuse the public with an issue that is not the responsibility of the Murcia City Council.

We find it surprising that the Socialists demand the Government Team instead of standing before his own party in favor of the interests of Murcia.

We do not act like that.

" In Pérez's opinion, "before trying to give lessons that do not convince anyone, the first thing Mr.

Larrosa has to do is learn the system of operation of public transport in Murcia and how the competences are distributed, since, once moreover, it demands from the City Council issues that are the responsibility of the Autonomous Community.

The lack of rigor it exhibits is inconceivable ". The popular councilor has stated that "with the aim of improving transportation throughout our municipality, we are preparing an ambitious Mobility Plan that will connect the districts with each other and these territories with the universities and hospitals of reference, with a complete network of dissuasive car parks, transport nodes and new fast lines, addressing mobility in a comprehensive way and not in its minimalist version ". Rebeca Pérez has also stated that "we continue to advance in the technical study that will lay the foundations for the reorganization of urban transport in Murcia, developing innovative, sustainable and economical means of transport".
