| The City Council adopts this decision in compliance with the order issued by the Ministry of Health to contain the contagion of Covid | The capacity of the seated places of the tram and city buses will be reduced by half as of next Sunday, August 23.

The City Council will adopt this decision in compliance with the order issued by the Ministry of Health to contain Covid infections.Apart from the reduction by 50% of the seats available on urban buses and trams, the regional order also states that two users per square meter may occupy standing vehicles.The Government Team has been diligent in organizing compliance with these measures for next Sunday in the means of transport that depend directly on its management.This redistribution of available seats will also be applied by the regional government in interurban bus lines, whose management falls directly to the Ministry of Development, and which provide service both in the urban area of ??the regional capital and in Murcian districts.The Department of Sustainable Mobility will maintain 100% the fleet and frequencies of urban buses and the tram to guarantee the provision of the service to citizens.In parallel, the Government Team is working on the adoption of new measures in order to strengthen services in the face of the upturn in activity that will occur in September with the return to normality in all sectors after the summer period .Organization of the entrances to the schoolsWith the intention of translating the measures of this adaptation plan in the most efficient way possible, the City Council has sent a letter to the regional government to know exactly the organization that the Ministry of Education will have to order the entrances to the schools.

 The operators of the Department of Sustainable Mobility have been executing an intensive cleaning protocol since the beginning of the pandemic to keep the vehicles of the urban bus lines and the tram clean and disinfected. These works will be increased in line with the crash plan agreed by the City Council's Public Health Committee.In addition, specific campaigns are being designed to promote the use of public transport to replace private mobility.
