The La Paz Infant School improves its accesses with the paving of the side entrance of the courtyard and the service area (21/08/2020)

| The Department of Education and Infant Schools is carrying out various refurbishment works in these centers with a view to their opening on next September | The Department of Education and Nursery Schools, led by Belén López, is carrying out various refurbishment and improvement works in the Municipality's Nursery Schools for their opening next September, following the protocol against Covid-19 that has designed this service for the 2020/2021 academic year.The mayor visited the La Paz Infant School this morning, located on Avenida Juana Jugán de Murcia, where access to the patio is being improved with partial paving for an amount of 44,803 euros, thus conditioning the side entrance of the patio and that of the providers that give to the service area.The basic execution project has been carried out by the Technical Office for Works and Projects of the Murcia City Council.

The action will improve access to classrooms through the courtyard and will be finished by September 7, the scheduled start date of the course.“This work is also part of the measures adopted in the Contingency Plan against Covid-19 of the Infant School Service for the next year, since one of the planned actions will be the entrance and exit through the courtyard in order to control to users and avoid crowds ”, explains Belén López.The Nursery School Service has seven centers for the First Cycle of Early Childhood Education, from 0 to 3 years old.

One of them is located in the urban area, EI La Paz (Barrio La Paz) and the rest in districts: EI Beniaján (Beniaján), EI San Roque (El Palmar), EI La Ermita (La Alberca), EI El Lugarico ( El Palmar), EI Ntra.

De los Ángeles (Sangonera la Verde).La Paz Infant School was inaugurated in January 2020, being one of the most modern in the municipality.

This center has enrolled for the next academic year a total of 105 students distributed in the following way: 6 children in the nest classroom; 39 in the four classrooms from 1 to 2 years old; and 60 children in the four classrooms from 2 to 3 years old.

Among those enrolled are 5 students from the integration program with special educational needs.
