The paddle tennis courts of the Juan Carlos I sports complex will have new artificial grass in mid-September (18/08/2020)

| The Department of Sports and Health will invest in these works, which began yesterday, more than 38,000 euros | The Councilor for Sports and Health, Felipe Coello, has visited the paddle tennis courts of the Juan Carlos I sports complex in Espinardo on the occasion of the start of the artificial turf renovation works.The pavement of nine of the 11 existing padel courts has areas in which the fiber is completely worn, with folds and patches.In order to repair and leave these facilities in the best conditions of use and exploitation, different works will be carried out consisting of removing the current pavement and cleaning the surface of the grass support base.Subsequently, the artificial grass pavement will be installed, turf grass score type, green or similar in color, made of 100% polyethylene fiber, 100% curly and micro-textured high-density monofilament fiber."These characteristics allow greater durability and shock absorption capacity," explains Felipe Coello, who adds that "this action is part of the plan to improve our sports spaces with which to provide Murcians with safe places to practice physical exercise ”.The budget amounts to 38,341.63 euros and the works are carried out by Construcciones Urdecon SA.
