The City Council continues with the plan against the tiger mosquito this week in eight districts and the urban area of ??Murcia (17/08/2020)

| The device, which is maintained throughout the summer, is developed with different methods and means, in addition to drones and a helicopter to hard-to-reach areas | The Murcia City Council, through the Department of Health and Sports, led by Felipe Coello, continues to work during the summer on the Emergency Plan against the tiger mosquito -aedes albopictus- throughout the municipality.Specifically, the operators will be performing this week in the districts of San Ginés, Santo Ángel, La Alberca, Algezares, Zarandona, Santiago el Mayor, Los Garres and Los Dolores, as well as in the urban area, such as in Santa María -Vistalegre, El Carmen, La Fame or La Paz.The work is being carried out through a special device with different methods and means, such as drones and a helicopter for hard-to-reach areas.Aerial treatment is carried out through the identification and geolocation of public or private mosquito foci and the application of the biological larvicide on areas of stagnant water inaccessible by terrestrial methods.Terrestrial methods continue to work continuously on public sources, such as accessible boulevards, irrigation canals, scuppers of the city and districts, as well as on any other site with public access and that presents water stagnations that may constitute a possible source breeding.The device consists of three SUVs, equipped with a powerful spray cannon, and four manual cannons, in addition to 10 spray packs for scuppers.
