The operators will develop the treatment in different places in the center of Murcia, such as the West and North rounds, the Díez de Revenga squares, Castilla, Fuensanta, Martínez Tornel, Plano de San Francisco, Avenida de la Libertad and Gran Vía Escultor Francisco Salzillo, and the towns of Aljucer, Lobosillo, Churra and Llano de BrujasThe deratization and disinfection works against cockroaches continue this week both in the urban area and in the districts.The Murcia City Council, through the Department of Sports and Health, led by Felipe Coello, develops this action throughout the summer in a scheduled way to prevent the appearance of pests throughout the municipal territory.Thus, specifically, the operators will work these days in sector 6 of the city, which includes the following spaces: Ronda Oeste, Plaza de Castilla, Ronda Norte, Plaza Díez de Revenga, Avenida de la Libertad, Plaza Fuensanta, Gran Vía Escultor Francisco Salzillo, Martínez Tornel Square, San Francisco Plan.Similarly, work will continue in the districts of Aljucer, Lobosillo, Churra and Llano de Brujas.Scheduled performanceThe City Council carries out an annual pest program that allows monitoring of all actions.

This service is carried out by a contract that has the municipality divided into sectors, in which the 58 districts and the eight districts of the capital are grouped."We refer to insects and rodents that transmit many diseases, so these treatments are necessary to preserve the quality of life of citizens and the healthiness of our public spaces," explains Felipe Coello, Councilor for Sports and Health.The mayor also recalls that the neighbors have at their disposal the telephone number 968 24 71 12 to warn of the presence of pests and demand disinfection in the area.The interventions are carried out by five teams, of two people each: four work through an annual schedule; and a fifth is in charge of attending to specific notices.The operators intervene in gardens, ditches, schools, municipal markets, municipal centers, and carry out the revision and replacement of baits.
