The PSOE affirms that the use of STV-ACTÚA videos for the Ballesta campaign disqualifies him from continuing as mayor (29/07/2020)

| The deputy secretary of the PSOE Municipal Executive shows at a press conference images contributed by the UTE to keep the contract of gardens in August and that the PP used in May | Last Monday the PSOE put in the hands of the prosecutor documentation in which there are supposedly sufficient indications that would demonstrate that the electoral campaign of the mayor Ballesta was "doped", as explained this morning by the deputy secretary of the Municipal Socialist Executive, Javier Mármol, who has assured that the videos that the UTE STV-ACTÚA prepared to be submitted to the award of the park and gardens contract, of 70 million euros, which was resolved on August 27, 2019, had already been used by the PP months before, in may. "This is the key to our suspicions that there was an alleged illegal financing of José Ballesta's electoral campaign and that, if confirmed, they disable him from remaining mayor," he said. After recalling that the former director of the PP municipal campaign is the current Councilor for Parks and Gardens, José Guillén, Mármol has evidenced the "alleged collusion between this political formation and a private company" and has insisted that the works contract and maintenance of gardens was formalized on August 27 between the Murcia City Council and STV-ACTÚA, who, to stay with this award, contributed 39 video renders to their proposal that simulated how the municipality's gardens would be left after its conditioning. Images of these audiovisual resources, created by the Paissano company, with a business name in Almería, were used before the elections of May 26, 2019 during the PP electoral campaign and have subsequently been reused by the mayor to announce works in gardens. The deputy secretary of the municipal PSOE has recalled the origin of the investigation, which began with the Contracting Surveillance Commission, when the socialist councilor Antonio Benito found that the winner of the Parks and Gardens contract was failing to comply with the commitment regarding works that it should carry out within the established deadlines and, nevertheless, "the PP government team neither sanctions the company nor terminates the contract, something that we did not understand, which makes us suspect the relationship between this company, linked to La Generala, and the PP ". Mármol has made it clear that this training has not provided information on this contract in the many times that it has been required and recalled that he himself, as coordinator of the municipal PSOE electoral campaign "we could not contract videos for their cost, for what we believe that Ballesta has played with advantage ".
