The City Council launches the last two lines of the ´Cultural Reactives´ program (28/07/2020)

| The Department of Culture and Recovery of Heritage will invest close to 90,000 euros in audiovisual projects for the landscape, city, vegetable garden and water and in exhibition projects for the Almudí and Glorieta | The City Council, through the Department of Culture and Heritage Recovery, has opened the call for the last two lines of the 9 that make up the 'Cultural Reagents' program.Thus, those interested in participating in the lines "Audiovisual projects landscape, city, garden and water" and "Exhibition projects for the Almudí and Glorieta rooms" can present their proposals until August 7.The summons of these two lines adds a total amount of 89,600 euros to invest in cultural projects."In this way, we are advancing in this ambitious project that seeks to support the cultural sector of the municipality, promoting artistic and creative production, after the paralysis of the sector due to the crisis caused by COVID-19," said Jesús Pacheco.According to the councilman, "what we intend with 'Cultural Reactives' is" to facilitate the development of our artists and creatives in the different phases of their professional career, in order to support the development of a solid and comprehensive local cultural sector, especially in these complicated moments for them.

"Audiovisual projects landscape, city, garden and waterWith this line, the aim is to select projects for the contracting of original assemblies in the field of audiovisual production related to the city of Murcia, the landscape, the orchard and the water adapted for the audiovisual platform of the Murcia City Council.The selected projects must promote material cultural assets (real estate and movable objects of artistic, historical, paleontological, archaeological, ethnographic, scientific or technical interest).Documentary and bibliographic heritage, archaeological sites and sites, as well as natural sites, gardens and parks, which have artistic, historical or anthropological value, as well as intangible cultural assets (oral traditions, arts) are also part of it.

This line will have a maximum amount of 30,000 euros.Audiovisual projects must be original, and must last more than 10 minutesExhibition projects for Almudí and GlorietaIn this line, curated collective exhibition projects on contemporary artists from the Region of Murcia or linked to it can be presented for exhibition in the municipal halls of the Almudí Art Center and the Glorieta room.The selection will be 7 exhibition projects, 6 for the Almudí Art Center (2 projects for the upper room (and 4 projects distributed in the Columns room) and 1 for the Glorieta Room.Each of the projects must be presented by a curator or curators, who will select and present the artists, the number of artists not being more than 4 for each of the projects presented, the latter being related by birth or residence to the Region of Murcia.The projects must contain the expository discourse and will deal with any facet of contemporary artistic creation related to the visual arts, standing out for its quality, for the interest of the expository discourse, for the mediation project to spread on the virtual platform and for the adaptation to the resources available for its implementation.The selection of artists and works by curators must guarantee major projects not only in terms of the themes of the exhibitions but also to introduce the role that young generations play in the art world, as well as historical perspectives and generations of artists.
