The Plenary Hall will host tomorrow the first institutional act on the occasion of Grandparents Day (23/07/2020)

| The oldest grandparents of the Federation of Elders will receive, at 12.00, a recognition representing all the grandparents and grandmothers of Murcia | The Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, together with the Councilor for the Elderly, Disability and Development Cooperation, Paqui Pérez, will preside over the institutional ceremony on the occasion of Grandparents Day tomorrow - whose commemoration is this Sunday, July 26 -, in which the oldest grandparents of the Federation of Elders, Fernando Jiménez Valera, 84 years old and Puente Tocinos, and Amparo Martínez Jiménez, 82 years old and the Zeneta district, will receive recognition on behalf of all Murcian grandparents and grandmothers.The event will be held at 12 noon in the Plenary Hall and it will present the institutional campaign of Grandfather's Day 2020, which aims to make older people visible, value their experience and thank the delivery of a lifetime, a This recognition is especially important for the health crisis and which places the value of the elderly as a fundamental part of the life of the new generations.

The councilor of Pedanías y Barrios, Marco Antonio Fernández, will also attend.
