| The installed flower beds serve four different types that function as passage control elements or as residential areas | The councilor for Urban Development and Administration Modernization, José Guillén, visited this morning the works that are being carried out to remodel the Avenida de La Fama, one of the main arteries of the urban area of ??Murcia and one of the most direct routes to traverse the city.In this way, 59 new flower beds and garden areas are being renovated, on the sidewalks, which in addition to functioning as an ornamental element, provide specific solutions to the inconveniences that this avenue provides during market days. The installed flower beds serve four different typologies that function as control elements of passage or as residential areas.

They are designed according to the utility of each one, in this way, flower beds and garden areas have been installed covered by a wooden platform that allows to generate a new noble surface of the living area, to climb or rise on the sidewalk, designed exclusively for pedestrians.Other parterres remain eliminated or reduced to allow the passage or parking of vehicles on market days.

Likewise, flower beds have been designed that elevate its perimeter, in which a series of benches have been placed to make the space more pleasant. These spaces are equipped with anti-graffiti concrete and wooden benches and respect existing trees."This project allows the creation of new meeting and living spaces for Murcian families.

Spaces endowed with shadows and naturalized that allow improving the quality of life of Murcians," said José Guillén.Environmental benefitThis action will provide an environmental benefit, since the incorporation of various plant species will bring biodiversity to the avenue.

The new tree plantations also provide shady areas by improving the ambient temperature and encouraging outdoor activity. For its conservation, a comprehensive renovation and modernization of the irrigation system will be carried out.

For the autonomous control of the water supply, which will be carried out by dripping, GPRS control systems with Wi-Fi connection will be used, for its control by GPRS and the digital documentation of the state of the plants.Built-in elementsIn several of these flower beds, a perimeter wall has been built that acts as a barrier, generating a perimeter protection bench against vehicle parking.

These landscaped flower beds have an area of ??1,500 m2.On the perimeter walls, pieces of wood will be arranged to configure room benches.
