The reform of the Day Stay Center and the Conciliation Center will improve the attention received by users of Cabezo de Torres (20/07/2020)

The Department of Social and Family Rights, which is headed by the mayor Pilar Torres, is the department in charge of executing the work.In recent weeks, the operators have completed the reform works that have been carried out both in the Day Stay Center and in the Reconciliation Center of the hamlet of Cabezo de Torres.These works, together with those that have been carried out in the offices that Tienda Asilo has in the center of Murcia, have involved an investment of 90,000 euros.Better facilities for social entitiesThe mayor Torres explained that "improving the services we provide to those most in need is a priority for the Government Team.

That is why we are executing a plan to renovate the Social Services units and the centers used by third sector entities."In the case of the Cabezo de Torres Day Stay Center, the work carried out has consisted of erecting the perimeter sidewalks on public roads and in the interior courtyard.With this, the building has been waterproofed and the existing problems in the terrazzo pavement, the partitioning and the walls have been solved due to the humidity.Shaft RepairThe operators have also repaired some pits by lifting the interior patio finished in printed concrete.

The ground has been compacted and arranged with a reinforced mortar slab that is thick enough to prevent the patio from sinking again in the future.

The budget for the works has been 47,876.67 euros.For its part, the reform in the Center for the Reconciliation of Work and Family Life in Cabezo de Torres has consisted of lifting all the ceramic paving in the central part to solve existing problems on the surface because the area had been erected.Placing a poor gripping layer of mortar without a perimeter joint with vertical hard points will increase the safety of the installation, which is widely used by young children, who were at risk of falling before work carried out for an amount of 30,028.68 euros.Offices communicated in Asylum ShopIn addition, the Department of Social Rights has renovated the facilities that Tienda Asilo has in the San Juan de Murcia neighborhood.

Two of the attention offices that exist on the ground floor have been communicated, which favors the transit of workers.The part of the continuous false plaster ceiling on the first floor, where the SEMAS is also located, has also been replaced, replacing it with a removable plaster ceiling.This action was taken for safety reasons because DANA last year caused roof damage and needed to be corrected.

The investment to cover these works has been 11,778.25 euros.
