| The agreement will allow students and professors of both faculties to carry out studies and research stays in the respective countries | The University of Murcia has reached an agreement with the prestigious Faculty of Law of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University of China (KoGuanLawSchool), which will allow students and professors of the UMU Faculty of Law to carry out studies and research stays in Shanghai during a academic course.

Likewise, students and professors from the Chinese faculty will be able to carry out studies and research stays at the UMU Faculty of Law, and especially in the degree of bilingual Law, which has been key to signing the agreement. KoGuanLawSchool has recently been ranked, for the ninth consecutive year, as one of the world's top one hundred law schools by the QS ranking, and China's top ranked by the Times Higher Education ranking. Talks regarding this agreement started about a year ago, and progressed significantly during the UMU's institutional visit to Shanghai in November 2019, as well as the subsequent visit of a KoGuanLawSchoola professor to the UMU Law School in February.

of this year. This agreement constitutes an opportunity that will promote educational and research exchanges, as well as the organization of conferences and joint research projects.

It will also make it easier for UMU law students to do internships in professional law firms during their stay in Shanghai, for which steps have already been taken with the law firms involved.
