| The works to expand the medical office will offer five family medicine consultations, three nursing, a living room, three toilets and a warehouse | The Governing Board has approved the work to carry out the expansion of the Churra medical office, located on Julio Cortázar street, given the detected need to expand the structural means for the assistance provided in Primary Health Care in this district due to growth demographic produced in recent years.The works contemplate the provision of 6 consultations and the necessary equipment to give them administrative and healthcare services, in a total constructed area of ??251.96 square meters on a single floor.Thus, the health center will offer five family medicine consultations, three nursing, a living room, three toilets and a warehouse.
The consultations occupy a total area of ??114 square meters, the living room of 23 square meters, the toilets of 10.5 and the rest of the premises of 68 square meters.In this way, it responds to a demand from both users and professionals of the Churra medical office that will have modern and equipped sanitary facilities.The works will be carried out by Zaragoza 2012 Grupo Constructor, SL with an investment of 247,323.86 euros and within six months.It must be remembered that works are currently also underway for the construction of the new clinic in the district of Javalí Nuevo, which will have two plants spread over an area of ??550 square meters.
The works of this new infrastructure were awarded for an amount of € 416,821, of which 216,821 euros were contributed by the Murcia City Council and 200,000 euros by the Murcian Health Service.The network of existing doctor's offices and health centers in the municipality of Murcia includes a total of 65 centers distributed in the 880 km2 of the municipality, providing service to residents of all districts.
