The City Council encourages Murcians to reduce the use of plastic bags (02/07/2020)

| Tomorrow is the International Day free of plastic bags under the slogan "Take the stroller bag, cloth, raffia or foldable, but always reusable" | The Murcia City Council, through the Department of Sustainable Mobility and Youth, and Ferrovial Servicios join the celebration of the International Day free of plastic bags, which is celebrated tomorrow, July 3.Under the slogan 'Take out the stroller bag, cloth, raffia or foldable, but always reusable' they will encourage through social networks an active participation in this day's message, with the aim of reducing plastic bags by one only use and encourage responsible consumptionThus, it seeks to encourage Murcians to end single-use bags, seeking cleaner, more sustainable alternatives that are respectful of the planet.Although the City Council works continuously against the use of disposable plastic and the tendency to 'use and throw away', in order to put into practice a circular economy, respectful with the environment, now we are taking advantage of this day to remind ourselves that good practices Sustainable as simple as never forgetting the bag to go shopping, and always carry a reusable, fabric or folding bag, they are a good alternative to not use and throw away."This international day free of plastics is an opportunity to remember that our small gestures are big steps towards a more sustainable and cared environment.
