The consultation phase for the design of the Urban Agenda Murcia 2030 continues this week with the interviews with the municipal political groups (01/07/2020)

| The next step will be the realization of six working tables of the Social Council of the City, which will take place from 13 to July 16 | The Murcia City Council, through the Department of Urban Agenda and Open Government, led by Mercedes Bernabé, continues this week with the consultation phase for the preparation of the Urban Agenda Murcia 2030 through interviews with the political groups that make up the municipal corporation.Last week, the interviews with the socioeconomic agents of the municipality, who were selected as experts and key informants through the personal questionnaires made to the members of the Social Council between the past months of February and March, were terminated.This same week, advancing with the participatory consultation process, meetings are taking place with the different political formations that make up the municipal corporation.

Thus, the round began on Monday with the councilor of the Socialist Group Ainhoa ??Sánchez, yesterday it was the turn of the mayor of the Popular Group Rebeca Pérez; Today the councilor of the Podemos Group Ginés Ruiz and the councilor of the Vox Group Inmaculada Ortega are interviewed; and next Monday, July 6, will end with the interview with the councilman of the Citizen Group Mario Gómez.The round of interviews is part of the participatory process for preparing the Murcia 2030 Urban Agenda, with the aim of obtaining additional and detailed information for its diagnosis, as well as obtaining more specific data on the future challenges of the municipality. In the words of Mercedes Bernabé, "the elaboration of the Murcia 2030 Urban Agenda is an opportunity to boost the growth and development of the municipality, since it will become the roadmap for sustainable urban policies for the next 10 years."Social Council working tablesThe next step in this participatory process is the convening of six working groups with the members of the Social Council, to be held from July 13 to 16.Specifically, the meeting schedule is as follows:July 13:-Table 1: Vertebrate of the territory.-Table 2: Environment and mobility.July 14:-Table 3: Social cohesion.-Table 4: Talent and Culture.July 16:-Table 5: Open Government and innovation in public management.-Table 6: Economic development and external projection."The design of the Urban Agenda for Murcia is determined by two factors: first, the need to continue a strategic planning process that was started by the council in 2013 and resulted in the Murcia city strategy 2020; and, secondly, having been selected by the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and the Urban Agenda as a pilot experience for the implementation of the Spanish urban Agenda ”, explains Mercedes Bernabé.
