The RAIS Foundation receives a grant of 14,460 euros to continue its work of caring for the homeless (19/06/2020)

The destination of that amount will be to finance the basic needs of food, accommodation and hygiene of the users that this organization serves in the center that it has on Calle San Martín de Porres in Murcia.Fundación RAIS enabled as a day center the night center that it has in the Murcian municipality and expanded its coverage of care 24 hours a day to provide support to the most vulnerable and needy groups, whose daily situation was complicated as a result of the crisis Health partner originated by the expansion of Covid-19.The organization had regional financing until May 31 to cover the actions it develops.

With the grant approved today, the Murcia City Council supports the work of care for the most needy that is being carried out by the RAIS Foundation during the month of June.Aid from the start of the pandemicThis action is framed within the policy of supporting the most vulnerable that the Department of Social Rights has been providing since the beginning of the pandemic.

The Government Team approved a contingency fund, endowed with 1 million euros, to meet the needs of 6,000 families and set up a line of urgent aid for those most in need.

It also awarded an extraordinary grant of 750,000 euros to Cáritas Diocesana, the Red Cross and the Food Bank.With the agreement approved today by the Government Board, the Department supports the work being carried out by the RAIS Foundation in the municipality.

It carries out actions aimed at supporting the insertion of people at risk or in a situation of social exclusion.

Its lines of action cover all social, health, economic, cultural and environmental spheres.It also promotes the conduct of training courses and encourages the creation, facilitation, support and participation of solidarity networks between individuals at risk of social exclusion and public and private institutions.
