| The Councilor for Education and Infant Schools, Belén López, has visited this educational center today due to the improvement works during the summer that will begin the next days | The Councilor for Education and Nursery Schools, Belén López, today visited the San José de Calasanz de Alquerías school on the occasion of the start of the improvement works that will begin in the coming days and will be carried out in this center during the summer.Specifically, the actions, with a budget of 48,390 euros, focus on the conditioning of the four toilets in the Children's building and a toilet on the ground floor of the management building.Likewise, different punctual repairs of the school's fencing will also be developed."We started the summer works in the educational centers, a very important action for the council that I direct, since the students must have adequate infrastructures for the study, with all the needs and security guarantees," explains Belén López.Plan of Works in Educational Centers 2020The City Council has started the Plan of Works in Educational Centers for this year, which will be endowed with 2,000,300 and will be carried out in a total of 80 public schools in Murcia and districts.

Specifically, it will be developed in two large blocks: maintenance and improvement of the services and benefits of the educational centers, where the actions promoted by the Municipal Boards are located, and, on the other hand, investment and renovation of sports facilities.It should be noted that this plan is the result of the work coordinated by the Department of Education and Nursery Schools, districts and neighborhoods and Sports and Health.The improvement actions focus on the repair of the roofs damaged by DANA, as well as the affected interior areas, the reform of the toilets, replacement and renovation of doors, specific repairs of masonry, plumbing and carpentry, replacement of deteriorated elements, etc.As for sports works, the replacement of sports courts, goal repair, laying and renovation of the pavement, as well as the repainting of the game lines are some of the actions carried out since January and that will be carried out in the rest of schools during the summer months.
