The Department of Sports and Health has developed an infographic in which it explains, in a simple and graphic way, how to rearrange spaces, ways to adapt food safety procedures, as well as cleaning and disinfection needs. The Department of Sports and Health, led by Felipe Coello, through the Municipal Health Services, has developed a guide of safety recommendations for catering establishments as a preventive measure against Covid-19 and thus maintain food safety. In this way, after the entry of the Region of Murcia in phase 3 of de-escalation, the town hall has produced an infographic detailing, in a simple and graphic way, some necessary protection actions for both personnel and the clients. The guide explains how to organize the different areas of the establishment, ways to adapt food safety procedures to the current situation of the pandemic, protocol for food orders and distribution, the method of payment or communication with the customer, as well as the cleaning and disinfection needs, among other recommendations."We are facing a situation of great uncertainty, so, at the moment, our highest priority is to work for the safety of citizens.

We want these recommendations to help these establishments on the road to the new normality and also contribute to recovering the trust of their clients, ”explains Felipe Coello. The infographic also includes some measures for hospitality workers, from what to do if you have symptoms, protective clothing and travel within the establishment. The Councilor for Health recalls that "so far there is no scientific evidence that Covid-19 is transmitted through food, but in these environments it is necessary to apply all the measures that prevent the chain of contagion."Likewise, the Department of Health of the City of Murcia joins the call for World Food Safety Day, which is commemorated on June 7, with the aim of contributing to the improvement of health and sustainable development through the promotion of self responsibility.
