Families in a vulnerable situation will be able to apply for rental aid from today until July 6 (07/06/2020)

From today until July 6, inclusive, families with limited economic resources and in a situation of special vulnerability who have resided in Murcia for a year may apply for rental aid for the Housing service of the Department of Elderly, Disability and Cooperation directed by the mayor Paqui Pérez.This year a total of 668,761 euros will be used for this purpose.

Aid, which may reach 2,933 euros, will be awarded through a direct concession to guarantee a simple and agile system that allows tenants to have the money in the shortest possible time.In this sense, the mayor responsible for the Housing service has insisted that "our priority is to protect the people who are experiencing the worst, so that they can have a minimum income and alleviate fixed expenses so that they can face others most needed.

"Grant applications will be formalized according to a standard model and must be accompanied by the documentation required to prove the established requirements, according to the criteria approved by the Governing Board on May 29, published yesterday Saturday in the BORM.The Housing service, located on the ground floor of the Abenarabi building, will attend to those interested in person, provided they have an appointment.

The office hours by appointment will be from Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m.

to 2:00 p.m.Also from the Social section of the Housing service, attention will be paid to the phones 608615676 and 663959242 every day from 9:00 a.m.

to 2:00 p.m.The documentation and standard models are available on the municipal website, although they can also contact the Housing service, so that they can send them the information and the application forms by email and via WhatsApp.Aid applicants must submit the required documentation requesting an appointment at the information and registration points (via the municipal website or by calling 010) or in the State and Autonomous Community registers or any electronic registry of a public administration.RequirementsThe grants, which will be awarded for a maximum period of 12 months, are intended to partially finance the rental payment, provided that the applicants meet certain requirements, including the following:Be registered in the municipality of Murcia for a continuous year and immediately prior to the date of the application.

People who are victims of gender violence are exempt from this requirement.Accredit weighted annual income between 0.5 and 2.5 times the IPREM for the entire family unit.Prove that the rental income in annual computation exceeds 25% of the weighted income of the family unit.Not having debts with public administrations.The house must be located in the municipality of Murcia.The maximum amount of the monthly rental of the house will be equal to or less than 550 euros.These subsidies are finalist in nature, although they may be made compatible with those municipal financial aid for the care of social needs and the rental supplement of non-contributory pensions, as well as aid granted under Royal Decree-Law 11/2020.
