The Artistic Laboratory of Carmen is preparing for its reopening (04/06/2020)

| Visitors will be able to see the exhibitions of Ramón González and José Soler from June 20 | The councilor for Culture and Heritage Recovery, Jesús Pacheco, visited this morning the Artistic Laboratory of Carmen, which is preparing to reopen its doors after the health crisis of COVID-19.In this way, Murcians will be able to visit this cultural space again from June 20, with all the security measures, to see the exhibitions of Ramón González and José Soler.Jesús Pacheco explained that "the LAC is one of the maximum exponents of our new cultural model for Murcia, which will revolve around four axes: supporting local talent in all its stages, creating an ecosystem of cultural production through plans economic and infrastructure provision, specialization in cultural exhibition on the street as part of our identity and the approach of culture to new audiences to promote the advancement and critical development of society.

"The maximum capacity will be 12 people, hydrogel dispensers have been placed, and the hours to visit this space will be from 11 a.m.

to 2 p.m.

and from 6 p.m.

to 9 p.m.Thus, Ramón González shows the exhibition 'Immanence' which, under the curatorial position of Pedro López Morales, combines different artistic techniques such as video art and ink and graphite on paper or acrylic, with which the artist produces a series of sensations around the Parade 'Jardin d´Hiver' of the Murcian firm De la Cierva & Nicolás at the beginning of the years in the LAC space itself and where the author took sketches and developed what is now part of this exhibition.Ramón González was living with the designer during the elaboration process as well as the subsequent fashion show. The 'Immanence' collection is made up of 28 drawings and paintings; two digital images printed on paper; a video art that has been filmed as an explicit animation in LOOP, with a duration of six minutes; and four different kinds of installations: a wooden frame with tulle, oil and guoache; two cardboard tubes with traces of acrylic and ink; two monocles hanging from a fine thread and a symbolic representation of the woman devised in wood and tulle. As for the exhibition by José Soler, titled 'Dance of Steel', metal pieces with various shapes and contours with which the artist expresses himself are shown, with the main objective of obtaining pure, sensitive, elegant and beautiful pieces, always looking for a social background. An example of this is the sculpture 'Stairs to Heaven', a work created during confinement and with which both the deceased and those who have suffered the loss of loved ones are honored. At the same time he completes his new exhibition with part of the previous one, 'Forged Nature', where you can see a variety of animals, insects or elements, worked forged, by the material to be treated which is steel, where methods are used both traditional as well as modern.
