Guadalupe launches soccer field with a new artificial grass for the 250 players of the municipal School (01/06/2020)

| The City Council has allocated an investment of more than 100,000 euros for the renovation of this municipal field | The Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, along with the Councilor for Sports and Health, Felipe Coello, and the Councilor for Pedanías y Barrios, Marco Antonio Fernández, supervised this morning the work carried out on the 7th soccer field of the Guadalupe Municipal Sports Complex, Located on Avenida Tierno Galván, where the old grass has been replaced by a new, high-quality, approved artificial grass."The improvement of public spaces in the districts of Murcia is a priority for the Murcia City Council," said José Ballesta, who added that "enhancing the quality of these spaces, as well as conserving them, are two pillars that guide the actions of the Consistory .

Specifically, this action is part of the District Plan, which is endowed with 14 million euros ”.The City Council has allocated an investment of 104,665 euros for the renovation of the lawn of this field, an action that has been carried out on a surface of 120x90 meters and that includes the installation of irrigation cannons that emerge from the ground.More than 250 playersBefore the declaration of the state of alarm, more than 250 players trained on this soccer field, who will be able to enjoy the new lawn when circumstances allow it - training has been suspended due to the health crisis.In addition to this field, the Guadalupe municipal sports complex, which is managed by the Sports Association of the district, includes two indoor soccer courts, two tennis courts, a ground soccer field and changing rooms.
