More than 145,000 Murcians have accessed the City Hall portal during the State of Alarm (30/05/2020)

| During the period of confinement, more than 2,300 users have been registered on average per day, reaching peaks of more than 5,000 users | The Murcia City Council, through the Department of Urban Development and Administration Modernization, led by José Guillén, has worked to find technological solutions before declaring the state of alarm. In this way, the consistory elaborated on March 12 a Protocol for the request of the incorporation of the municipal employees to the Telework and the manual of installation of the technological tools, in order to adapt the jobs and configure the equipment. "This rapid action has allowed the different services of the City Council to operate at full capacity from the first day, providing in turn with the maximum conditions of safety and health for workers and maximum efficiency in public service," said José Guillén . Likewise, from March 16 to May 11, a total of 145,729 users have accessed the City Council portal.

During the period of confinement, more than 2,300 users have been registered on average per day, reaching peaks of more than 5,000 users. Being higher in the last 5 weeks compared to the previous period, reaching a 50% increase in the number of users in the last month. Among the most visited content, the City Council page with information regarding the coronavirus stands out, with more than 41,000 visits.Likewise, the TuMurcia application for mobile devices, which is a citizen participation platform that makes available to users a space to contribute ideas and suggestions to the City Council, has received 626 requests and suggestions, which have been transferred to the corresponding municipal services . This virtual communication and participation system has become one of the tools extended among citizens to interact with the City Council.

Street Cleaning, Local Police, Traffic, Public Lighting, Parks and Gardens, Works and Health are the most repeated topics in citizen consultations."The City Council's objective is to make life in Murcia easier by providing them with a better service and offering them new communication channels based on the latest technological innovations," José Guillén concluded.
