Parks and Gardens cultivate the more than 60 varieties of cacti scattered throughout the municipality (29/05/2020)

| One of the species that citizens can learn the most about is the genus 'Mammillaria' which, with more than a dozen different varieties, total about 80 specimens | The Murcia City Council has more than 60 varieties of cactus distributed throughout the city and its districts.

Specifically, one of the species that citizens can know the most closely are those of the genus 'Mammillaria' which, with more than a dozen different species, number about 80 specimens and the 'Ferrocactus' that, with their four different species, arrive almost fifty large specimens.The City Council is responsible for its care and maintenance, through the Department of Urban Development and Modernization in its Parks and Gardens Service.
