Cáritas also played a fundamental role in this work, being in direct contact with the social reality existing in each territory.Extraordinary financing of 750,000 eurosThis increase in the area of ??action has been made thanks to the collaboration maintained by the Department with the Red Cross.

The government team has approved in recent weeks an extraordinary fund of 750,000 euros to finance the work that social entities such as this are carrying out to guarantee that no citizen is left without access to basic food.In this work, 40 social work units are carried out, which are distributed throughout the municipality.

Its members are in charge of articulating the support network that guarantees the arrival of food to those most in need.The distribution entities in the municipality of Murcia are the Food Bank of Segura, the Red Cross and Cáritas.

In turn, they refer the food delivery service to other support associations, which ensures that service coverage is guaranteed throughout the municipality.

Some of the entities that provide their support are Columbares, Project Abraham, Ministry of the King, Ebenezer Assembly of God Church and various associations of housewives.Cast in Llano de BrujasCouncilor Pilar Torres has visited Llano de Brujas, where the Municipal Board, chaired by Jesús Zapata, has organized the distribution of food for 304 beneficiaries belonging to 72 families served by Cáritas.

The mayor pointed out that "this is only one example of the task that we are coordinating on a daily basis in support of those who need it most."The Social Services of the City Council are in charge of channeling the contributions and donations made by residents on a private basis, as well as non-profit associations.
