Torres: "If it is for the management of the dining room scholarships, Mr. Serrano should request the resignation of all the councilors of Social Rights of the municipalities of the Region" (14/05/2020)

| The councilor of Social Rights has regretted that "the PSOE continues to be true to his philosophy of doing politics at the expense of the most vulnerable "| The councilor for Social and Family Rights, Pilar Torres, reminds the socialist spokesman, José Antonio Serrano, that "if it is for the management of the dining room scholarships, Mr.

Serrano should ask for the resignation of all the councilors of Social Rights in the Region.

Or perhaps the councilors of the PSOE are not doing their work as they should? " The PP councilor has considered that "Mr.

Serrano has been left in evidence today after the deputy of the Socialist Parliamentary Group, Antonio Espín, has issued a statement in which he pondered the management that the municipalities are making of the dining room scholarships during the coronavirus crisis.

" "If Mr.

Serrano thought the decision to install mats on the ground to accommodate homeless people in the Cagigal pavilion seemed unwise, what does he have to say about the continuous improvisations that the Government of Pedro Sánchez is doing with constant changes in the rudder that they are putting the lives of thousands of people at risk? "said Pilar Torres. The councilor has stated that "if the statements made by the socialist deputy Antonio Espín have been regrettable, even more regrettable are the arguments that Mr.

Serrano has collected in the letter he has sent to the mayor." Likewise, the municipal manager reiterates that from the first minute the local government team "has put all its efforts into alleviating the suffering of the most vulnerable." For example, -he points out- the Social Services of the Murcia City Council are processing 100 daily files of families with basic needs thanks to the streamlining and modernization of procedures. It should be recalled to the PSOE the contingency fund of two million euros, approved in the last plenary session and the departure of more than 650,000 euros to anticipate the payments of the dining room scholarships that will be approved tomorrow at the Governing Board tomorrow. It has also valued that it will allocate one million euros for third sector entities, as well as cash advances that were given the green light to address basic social issues. For Torres it is regrettable that "the PSOE uses as a political weapon the suffering that vulnerable groups such as that of children and families are suffering." For this reason, Pilar Torres has asked José Antonio Serrano if he has stopped sharing the postulates that the PSOE has and has reminded him that "disposition is not to ask for my resignation, but to contribute to the solution proactively and contributing measures.

The rest it's just the lowest level political game.

" In his opinion, "the PSOE continues to be faithful to its philosophy of doing politics with the most vulnerable and, if they will give us an example of mistakes, they will first have to ask their government partners for explanations." Torres ended by regretting that Serrano "is absent and his political involvement cannot be counted on to provide solutions to municipal problems," since "it is very sad to see how a party is dedicated to politicizing pain."
