gradually. An agreed planIn this sense, the first deputy mayor understands that "the commitment must arise from the municipal corporation and be shared and agreed by all political groups and society as a whole."In addition, the mayor Mario Gómez has stated that the future plan should have the commitment of all councilors when it comes to assuming certain environmental habits in all the actions that are planned from the different services. In this way, Gómez has insisted on the importance of maintaining the maximum possible energy efficiency and has stressed the need to increase environmental measures in the technical specifications until defining a new model of municipality that has a high impact on mobility, the only sector, in his opinion, "capable of maintaining air quality at current levels".Exclusive lanes and bike lanesIn the opinion of the first deputy mayor, during the first phase of the future plan, exclusive lanes for public transport in their different modalities should be implemented on the main axes of the municipality, reducing lanes for private cars. They should also decrease the parking areas in favor of pedestrians, increase the number of bicycle lanes and expand public recreation areas, considering alternatives for the vehicles of residents in these areas, which would also contribute to the recovery of local commerce.Speed ??limitation and deterrent parkingAnother aspect included in the draft of the plan presented today by the first deputy mayor at the working meeting on the mobility ordinance is the speed limitation on the main entry and exit axes of the city, as well as the progressive increase in free deterrent parking associated with the single urban transport card.Commitment to pedestrians and electric mobilityIn addition, regarding the approval of the mobility ordinance, Councilor Mario Gómez has proposed that the pedestrian and electromobility be firmly committed to gradually limiting entry to the municipality to the most polluting vehicles.Control of polluting vehiclesLikewise, it has had an impact on addressing the limitation of mobility in different residential areas, in order to significantly reduce the passage of vehicles in the old town and city center. It has also raised the need to carry out a control of polluting vehicles in the distribution fleets and the possibility of creating a large logistics distribution center that limits the passage of non-polluting vehicles.Car sharingAnother of the draft bets is the creation of the car-sharing service, a measure that, according to mayor Mario Gómez, would also contribute to reducing the number of vehicles in the urban area.Industrial and commercial sectorApart from the limitations, reductions or structural modifications, the draft presented today addresses the adoption of a broader set of measures for the industrial and commercial sector, in addition to proposing the establishment of incentives for individuals, companies and the self-employed to adapt their companies to energy efficiency and compliance with sustainability principles.Environmental badgeFinally, the first deputy mayor has proposed the implementation of the requirement of the environmental mark in a progressive way in vehicles that circulate through the municipality of Murcia.
