The Environmental Information Points of Contraparada and Majal Blanco will also open this year during the month of June (14/05/2020)

| Next Saturday, service will be provided in both spaces again | The Department of Sustainable Development and Huerta, headed by Antonio Navarro Corchón, starts, from this weekend, the de-escalation plan in the natural spaces of the municipality. The first measure taken within Phase 1 is the reopening next Saturday of the Environmental Information Points located in the area of ??Contraparada and in the Majal Blanco forest park. After two months of confinement, and to continue informing visitors who invest their leisure time in contact with nature, about the natural and heritage values ??of these municipal enclaves, these facilities open their doors adapting to safety regulations that have determined the current sanitary circumstances: maintenance of the safety distance, equipment to protect the informants and replacement of the usual informative elements on paper with other dissemination strategies. As a novelty, this year the opening of the Information Points is extended to June, in which they are usually closed for the summer season."In this way, it is intended to extend and improve the service provided to users at a time when the citizen's needs for recreation in nature are greater than ever," said Councilman Antonio Navarro. In addition, in the case of La Contraparada, the information point will also open in the afternoon, from 6:30 p.m.

to 8:30 p.m., given that the influx of cyclists and walkers through the area of ??La Contraparada is foreseeable, for its location at the end of the Malecon bike path. The Environmental Information Points will remain open Saturdays, Sundays and holidays in May and June, with the following hours:Majal Blanco Environmental Information Point: Saturdays, Sundays and holidays (June 9), from 9:30 a.m.
