The City Council continues today with the work of cleaning and disinfecting the lamppost supports in El Palmar, Puente Tocinos, La Alberca and Sangonera la Verde (07/05/2020)

| These actions will continue tomorrow in different locations of these districts, as well as in Cabezo de Torres and The Esparragal | The City Council, through the Department of Urban Development and Administration Modernization, headed by José Guillén, has launched a special device for cleaning and disinfecting the supports of the lampposts located in the busiest places in the entire municipality.The actions continue today in the following districts: El Palmar (Avenida de Burgos, Calle Lorca and Calle Mayor); La Alberca (Calle Mayor and Calle Rambla); Puente Tocinos (Aljada Garden, Plaza Artesanos del Belén, Plaza de la Iglesia, Plaza de la Región Murciana, Plaza Miguel Ángel Blanco and Plaza Tomás y Valiente); and Sangonera la Verde (Eugenio Espín Garden, Vicente Vera Garden, Calle Don Juan de Borbón Gardens)."In addition to the usual cleaning actions in streets, squares and gardens, we add those aimed at disinfecting these exterior infrastructures in order to guarantee the maximum safety of our neighbors in the return to normality as soon as possible", highlights José Guillén .The tasks are carried out by a total of eight people, distributed in six work teams: two of them will have a 100-liter capacity tank mounted on a van and the other four will have manual fumigation systems.

The disinfection of the supports is carried out by spraying with sodium hypochlorite, diluted 0.5% in water, at a height of two meters.Next calendarThe disinfection activities continue tomorrow, May 8, at: Cabezo de Torres (Avenida de Murcia, Calle del Carmen, Calle Reina Fabiola and Paseo), El Esparragal (Campillo Jardín, Jardín Avenida de la Ceña, Jardín de la Flora y Jardín de la Flora II), El Palmar (Avenida Primero de Mayo, Jardín Avenida de Burgos and Jardín Avenida Pintor Pedro Cano), La Alberca (Calle La Paz, Calle Turbintos, Jardín Alberca de Salamanca, Jardín Auditorium, Jardín Calle Carlos Valcárcel, Jardín Sericicola); Tocinos Bridge (Calle Farmacéutico Antonio Carazo, Calle Sol y Jardines and Carril de los Canos).To these locations we must add other places where work has already been done this week, such as in different squares and streets of the urban area of ??Murcia and in other avenues of Puente Tocinos and Sangonera la Verde.
