The UCAM Degree in Gastronomy collaborates with the GastroSOS solidarity event (07/05/2020)

| On May 12 and 13, a menu will be held with the aim of raising funds for the Food Bank of Segura.

Whoever wishes may purchase their menu through the internet | Ten students of the Degree in Gastronomy at UCAM, the assistant director of the degree Adela Abellán and Professor Pablo Gómez have joined the GastroSOS solidarity initiative that seeks to raise funds for the Food Bank of Segura.

Some of the most recognized chefs on the regional scene, led by chef Rodi Fernández, have joined in this project supported by various companies and by the Autonomous Community and the Murcia City Council. Next week (May 12 and 13) they will prepare a menu that will be delivered to everyone who requests it for a price of 8 euros.

The proceeds will go to the Food Bank of Segura.

From UCAM we encourage you to contribute to this solidarity initiative.

Orders can be made through the internet at this link. The May 12th menu will consist of roasted vegetable salad with salted sea bass and crumbs with flatfish from Murcia.

On May 13 the dishes will be chickpea stew with chard and cod and braised pork cheek.

Both days the dessert will be made up of the typical Murcian paparajotes. In this way, the students of the Catholic University join a new solidarity initiative.

Since the beginning of the health crisis caused by COVID19, more than 160 UCAM students have participated in various volunteer tasks with entities such as Cáritas or Jesús Abandonado.
