The Street Cleaning Service has used more than a million liters of disinfecting solution during confinement (06/05/2020)

| In addition to public spaces, more than 110,000 containers have been disinfected during this period | The Murcia City Council, through the Street Cleaning and Waste Management Service of the Department of Sustainable Mobility and Youth, and Ferrovial Services have used more than a million liters of disinfectant solution during the first month of confinement within the Special Plan for Disinfection designed to combat the spread of the coronavirus.To carry out all these cleaning and disinfection tasks, Ferrovial Servicios has 93 operators from the total workforce, exclusively dedicated to these tasks.

An average of 29,750 liters of solution is being used per day.

The service is also active on Sundays.All containers are disinfected two to three times a week.

Since these aseptic tasks began, more than 110,000 containers have been disinfected.

This sanitization process also applies to all existing litter bins in the municipality.Hydro-cleaning vehicle works reach an average of 50 containers that are treated first with pressurized water and then disinfected with hypochlorite.The Councilor for Sustainable Mobility and Youth, Rebeca Pérez, has highlighted "the important work of sanitizing and disinfecting the critical environments of the municipality, carried out by cleaning operators and by other services that have joined in this arduous and fundamental task in these time".
